This does not just mean identifying and avoiding hazards on the road and adhering to the Highway Code – it also means being able to recognise when they’re getting tired, making sure they take enough breaks, and ensuring that any issues with the vehicle they’re driving are rectified as soon as possible. Commercial driving training from Driver Hire Uxbridge
Our module on commercial driving in the UK lasts for three and a half hours, and will give your drivers insight into the different factors of driving a commercial goods vehicle in the UK – including health and safety guidelines, legal requirements and fuel efficiency advice. We offer a wide range of other three-and-a-half-hour training modules that your drivers can use in conjunction with this one to make up a full day (seven hours) of training, which they can put toward their Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
Your drivers will learn about:

- The EU drivers’ hours rules and the Road Transport (Working Time) Regulations
- Staying safe in the transport industry
- Fuel-efficient driving
- Safe driving skills
Bespoke training that meets your needs
Our CPC modules are designed to be delivered in line with your individual training requirements. For example, if you would like us to visit your premises and carry out the training there, we can do that. Alternatively, your drivers can come to us, and we’ll conduct the course at our purpose-built training facility. You may like to enrol an entire fleet of drivers, or perhaps just one – either option is fine. And, if your drivers would like to fill the rest of the day with another of our training modules, we are happy to help you arrange this.
